Since 1989 Seibold has published a number of musician biographies, including about Bryan Adams, U2, Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins, Prince, a-ha, Depeche Mode, Peter Maffay, The Rolling Stones, Die Toten Hosen and the Kelly Family. Seibold is also the founder of "Seibold Medien", a publishing house for media design. For several years he worked as a freelancer at Stern and wrote for Harper's Bazaar, Penthouse, Bunte, Wiener, Schweizer Illustrierte, Motorrad, Video, Audio, tip Berlin and Computer Bild, among others.
In 1983 he became a freelance journalist and wrote for various daily newspapers, such as the Süddeutsche Zeitung, the Stuttgarter Zeitung, Saarbrücker Zeitung, the Berliner Morgenpost, the Neue Presse (Hanover), the Sächsische Zeitung, the Augsburger Allgemeine or in the Kieler Nachrichten and for the radio stations SDR and SR. Jürgen Seibold began his professional career as a freelancer at the regional daily newspaper Winnender Zeitung and then worked as a volunteer, later as an editor at the Eßlinger Zeitung.
